What it measures that other tools don't.
Beyond the nine universal dimensions and three frontline-specific dimensions, the defence module surfaces one construct that consistently produces the most useful coaching content:
Mission-Anchored ↔ Wholeness-Anchored
Where does your identity actually anchor? Is the service the central thing that defines you, with everything else organised around it? Or is the service one important part of who you are, with the rest of your life sitting on equal footing?
Neither pole is wrong. But the GAP between how you actually operate and how you'd ideally operate on this dimension is the most reliable predictor of post-service psychological adjustment.
Evidence base: Identity Centrality (Stryker), Workaholism research (Schaufeli), post-deployment reintegration literature (Burnell & Coleman, 2010).
